I’m Donna Martin, a Mind-Shift Mentor, speaker, and founder of The Goodlife Approach.

My work began long before coaching, on a palliative care ward in Ireland, where I spent my early nursing years walking beside families in their most vulnerable moments — while quietly surviving one of my own.
Two years of extreme stress, anti-social behavior, and personal crises pushed me into emotional shutdown. I lost everything. I went through bankruptcy. And yet, I still showed up for 12-hour shifts.
Without realising it, I was building the first version of the reset tools that now sit at the heart of my work:
simple pauses, a breath, a grounding moment between chaos and heartbreak.
Those tools carried me through over 15 years of nursing. They’ve held me through major personal challenges including moving our family across the world to Australia, rebuilding life from scratch, and recovering from a 2024 car accident that reshaped my health and business.
I know what happens when you stop choosing yourself.
And I know what becomes possible when you start again, intentionally.
That’s why I do this work.
